About the Perfect Pregnancy Team

Nick and Katie Oskowski before Perfect Pregnancy FitnessPerfect Pregnancy Fitness is the creation of Katie and Nick Oskowski.  Both avid fitness lovers, they are exercise trainers working with both individuals and athletes.  During Katie’s first pregnancy, she experienced frequent health problems stemming from the misinformation given to many parents-to-be.  As she struggled through the pregnancy, Nick and Katie spent a lot of time learning about appropriate fitness levels and the best foods to eat while expecting.

After a lot of trial and error, they finally found the right balance.  With the knowledge they gained during the first pregnancy, their second one was much more enjoyable.  But Nick and Katie knew they needed to share what they learned so other parents wouldn’t experience the same struggles they went through.

Nick and Katie partnered with nutritionist Anne Thacker and Dr. Sam Ahuja of University Hospitals in Cleveland.  Working together, they created the ultimate resource for women who are pregnant or planning to get pregnant.  Their program incorporates the fundamentals of fitness and nutrition to ensure a safe and healthy pregnancy.  The fitness and nutrition program includes valuable information to use before, during and after pregnancy – and each trimester is separated with helpful tips and advice.  All four experts blog regularly, sharing their knowledge here at perfectpregnancyfitness.com.

Katie Oskowski

Pregnancy fitness guru Katie OskowskiKatie become an avid fitness lover shortly after she started dating Nick, and was teaching as many as three spinning classes a day.  Following the birth of her two children, Katie has become a full-time mom, sharing her experiences and advice with Perfect Pregnancy Fitness.  She continues to teach spinning and fitness classes.  In her spare time, she teaches Sunday School at her church and enjoys using her cosmetology background to participate in hair-a-thons for local charities.



Nick Oskowski

Nick OskowskiNick is an ISSA certified personal trainer and specialist in performance nutrition.  Nick became passionate about fitness while in middle school and competed in numerous body building competitions.  After winning a number of body building accolades, Nick decided to bring his training expertise to the world of gyms because he loves to help individuals accomplish what they otherwise thought was impossible.  Nick has trained with athletes and celebrities such as Travis Hafner of the Cleveland Indians, Hollie Strano, Barbara Gauthier and Abby Ham.



Dr. Samir Ahuja

Dr. Sam AhujaDr. Sam Ahuja is a board-certified OB/GYN and serves as the Medical Director of University Hospital’s Center for Women’s Health.  He graduated from the University of Toronto School of Medical and completed his residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at North York General Hospital in Toronto, Canada.  In the 24 years since he became an OB/GYN, Dr. Ahuja has delivered more than 5,000 babies and become one of the most sought-after experts in the industry.



Anne Thacker

Anne Thacker is a nutrition expert and a Registered and Licensed Dietitian. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science from Miami University, a Master of Science degree in Public Health Nutrition from Case Western Reserve University and a Culinary Arts Diploma from The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale. Since 1999, Anne has held a variety of positions in the public and private sector, including weight loss counseling, corporate wellness, community nutrition programming and even food service. Her nutrition philosophy is centered around helping individuals have more energy, empowering them to make the best decisions for their health and to help them focus on the healing properties of whole foods. Most recently, Anne serves as a nutrition and recipe expert for a Cleveland based company.

As a full time wife and working mother, Anne has found success in creating a work-life balance that enabled her to maintain her muscular fitness and increase her cardiovascular fitness through two successful pregnancies. Anne is an avid spinner and enjoys spending time at the gym with her husband.
